For ten years, Dan Karlsen was at the winemaking helm of Chalone Vineyard. In 2006, Dan and Kathy moved from the limestone riddled expanse of Chalone to the Santa Lucia hinterlands west of 101. Chock Rock Vineyard is Dan’s estate vineyard, and his small production getaway from Big Business winemaking.
